256 Newton
The .256 Newton was a high-velocity, rimless centerfire cartridge based on the .30-06 Springfield military cartridge and developed in 1913 by Charles Newton in conjunction with the Western Cartridge Company. Introduced in 1913. loaded Ammunition was also available by Standard Ammunition . Charles Newton Produced His rifles under The Newton Arms Co, as well as the later Meeker Arms Company.
Charles Newton designed this case to accept a .264 Diameter Bullet
