11.15x52Rimmed LK Express

This case was one In a long line of LK cases. LK short For the German word “LanKaster”meaning shotgun . This was a Black powder case dating from the mid 1880 to appox 1940. This was very popular with Combination Guns , Drillings and other side by side rifles.. This cartridge was seldom seen is rifle chambering.

The 11.15x52 R was Only one cartridge in a series os LK cases ranging from 40 mm in length to 65 mm in length. Most rifles were made by local Gunsmiths in these assorted length required by the customer. Most major ammunition companies made the wide range of length. This case was used with Lead Bullets either Plain or Paper patched.. This cartridge was prior to “ German National Standardization”.
