50 Remington Army M1871
This cartridge was originally introduced in 1867 as Rimfire and used as the Navy model Remington Rolling Block pistol .It was later used buy the Army in 1871 but both Models use a different cartridge case. The army Model is longer and does have a slight Bottleneck and is a centerfire. To add to the confusion the Navy Model was later Converted by Remington to Inside primed center fire. Bullet diameter should be checked to your specific weapon.
